Finance: Living off of his inheritance and investing wisely History: Price was born to a well off family. He's the youngest of three children by a sizable age gap. His brother Prescott was 18 when he was born, and his sister Patricia was 14. Price's parents encouraged their children to work very hard and pursue ambitious futures. When they decided to have Price they joked that it was to keep everyone on their toes. While Price was one more child to compete for his parents' affection and approval, he wasn't as affected by their competitive nature as his older siblings. It was clear, at least in their mother's eyes, that Price was the baby and she had an unreserved affection for him. Price wasn't spoiled, but he did get away with a lot more than he should have. For example, there were a number of years in his early childhood where he would disappear outside by himself until long after dark and hardly get into trouble. Eventually they did hire a housekeeper to try and wrangle him. It helped that Price's siblings were already in college/law school/or starting their careers when he was young. Because of their success Price's parents hardly had to pressure their youngest son to work harder. He had a lot to live up to--especially when it came to Prescott's golden years. At first Price was envious of the praise for his brother, but in the end he was just proud and encouraged to do better himself. He adored Prescott, though he didn't have much of an opportunity to get to know him well. By the time Price was 12 his siblings were leading very busy lives. His parents were looking into boarding schools to send him to him in the fall. They hoped it would be an excellent opportunity for him, and they were unsatisfied with the private schools he'd attended thus far. Unfortunately, in early summer Price's parents were killed in a car accident. The family was reasonably shaken in the aftermath. It didn't help that Prescott's alcoholism had recently come into light. Legally, he should have been Price's guardian, but he wasn't fit to do so. Price chose to attend the boarding school that his parents had enrolled him in. Over the next five years he buried himself in his schoolwork. He took every opportunity that would keep him busy during holidays and breaks. He joined the swimming team, the debate club, the chess team. He tried taking lessons in Martial Arts. He spent a summer in Washington D.C. He spent a summer abroad. He ended up finishing school a year early and then shipping off for college where he earned a degree in business because he was sure that was what his parents would have wanted. After he was finished...Price still wasn't sure if it was what he wanted. He's been traveling over the past year and while he still hasn't found what he's searching for Price is finally ready to come home to Tampa for more than a brisk holiday. It seems long overdue.
